La formation des SASS dans les langues émergentes: une comparaison entre la LSMY et deux Langues des Signes d’Afrique de l’Ouest

Cet article propose une étude comparative de deux groups de langues rurales, deux d’Afrique de l’ouest la langue des signes d’Adamorobe (AdaSL) et celle de Bouakako (LaSiBo) et une d’Amérique centrale, la Langue des Signes Maya Yucatèque (LSMY) utilisée dans plusieurs villages de la péninsule du Yucatán. L’objectif est d'analyser les types de spécificateurs de taille et de forme (ou SASS Size-And-Shape Specifiers, en anglais) de ces langues des signes rurales et certaines originalités qu’elles présente quant aux SASS. Nous reprenons et développons les catégories proposées par Supalla (1986) pour les adapter aux spécificités des langues considérées. En particulier, nous considérons deux nouvelles catégories qui sont les SASS d’entités, présent dans les langues des signes émergentes africaines et les classificateurs d’entités utilisés dans la Langue des Signes Maya Yucatèque.
